Yes, it has been a while, but Top Stories are back! For new readers, these are the top stories from papers around the Middle East:

• Syria Today: Bread prices are sacred: the government has had to raise prices on wheat and oil, but will keep bread prices subsidized.
  


• Asia Times: Pakistan faces a lose-lose situation: the new government is in a bad spot, especially in regards to their ambassador to Afghanistan, who was captured two months ago. They kept that quiet for a while.
  


• Turkish Daily News: Another EU voice in support of the AKP: I'm not really sure what this is about. Something about a closure case with the AKP (a political party).
  


• Algeria Daily (via World News Network): OPEC president says no need to raise oil production: (the current president is Algerian) - this is pretty self-explanatory.
