One of the ships in the flotilla was the MV Rachel Corrie (named after the American college student killed by an Israeli bulldozer in 2003) was apparently not attacked, because it had engine trouble and had fallen behind. Said engine trouble may have been caused by Israel. If I have read everything correctly, the MV Rachel Corrie is currently still on its way to Gaza, and the leader of Ireland has already warned Israel against hurting any of its passengers. The ship belongs to the Irish branch of the Free Gaza Movement, and one of the passengers is Nobel peace laureate Máiread Maguire.
